Greensleeved is my professional stamp as director/producer, and it exists in multiple forms. Greensleeved is a production company. Greensleeved is an ensemble of creatives from different disciplines in the performing arts. Most of all, I like to think of Greensleeved as a promise.

Greensleeved productions are:

1. Made with and for groups of people who do not see themselves represented in theatre enough. I find active collaboration and community empowerment makes stronger, more informed and relevant work, and it inspires self-expression for unheard voices.

2. Ensemble based and created through collective imagination. I don’t believe in the idea of sole invention of any artwork, and that means I lead a shared creative practice.

3. In service of the world around us, inspring critical thinking and shared imagination, holding multiple perspectives. I don’t ever want to tell you what to think, or feel, or do; I will prompt you to engage with larger questions in a creative way.

Upcoming productions
In December 2024, I won the European Shakespeare Festivals Network’s annual Shakesphere competition with my reworking of King Lear: Learlike.

Learlike tells the story of Lear from the perspective of his four daughters (the liar, the follower, the silent one and the fool) as they grapple with their father’s legacy of abuse, power and internalised misogyny. This story advocates self-expression, designed specifically for young women (18-25) who often feel disconnected from classical text due to a long history of misrepresentation and silencing. It’ll be made in London, and premiere at the York International Shakespeare Festival before touring to Shakespeare festivals in Verona, Ostrava, Gdansk and Craiova in Summer 2025.
